Do it. Do it now. Don’t waste another minute of procrastination. From the time the ink is dry, your journey to real estate happiness will have already started. My wife and I owned a seven-figure home in North Raleigh that had become outdated, and we needed to sell during a soft market. For 16 months, we listed the house with two agents not named Ginger Dawson or Wendy Jackson. Not only did we not get any offers, but we also barely got second showings. Enter Ginger – and her equally capable business partner Wendy Jackson – and things dramatically changed for the better immediately. To be clear, Ginger told us things that we didn’t want to hear. But she had the courage and confidence to initiate the uncomfortable conversations, and everything that she suggested proved to be correct. The 2004-built home that we constructed from scratch was molded into what the 2021 buyer was looking for. All of Ginger’s instincts and professional experience paid off in spades. The house that had been ignored for 16 months got 25 showings in three days, multiple offers and an executed contract less than a week after it had been listed by Ginger and Wendy. We were thrilled, relieved and happy beyond words. And yet, their value to the transaction had only just started. Their attention to detail as we moved through inspections, appraisals and further negotiations was second to none. They anticipated every question that we had and every answer that we would need. Nothing was ever left to chance and every stone was turned over. We moved out of the house prior to listing it for sale and, as a result, we discontinued trash pick-up. Two days before closing, without any prompting or any discussion at all, Wendy showed up at the house and removed several months of trash that had accumulated in our bin. Did they do that for our benefit? Did they do that for the incoming buyers benefit? Did they do it because they are perfectionists, and it was simply the right thing to do? I have no idea. But the point is that everything that guides them in a real estate transaction is predicated on making their clients life easier and taking responsibility for every facet of the transaction, whether it be significant or mundane. I could go on forever in regard to Ginger’s professional skills but, as importantly, Ginger’s human and personal strengths are just as relevant. The house that we sold meant a lot to us. We had built it from the ground up, raised our kids there and sadly said goodbye to two family pets while living there. Ginger was keenly aware of the emotional toll of selling this house and she struck every chord perfectly. She knew when to push and when to let go. She knew when to draw the line and when to hug. She knew when to counter and when to agree. I work for a professional sports team in sales and marketing, so I’m not a novice when it comes to making a deal. I don’t get impressed easily and I hate wasting time. With that in mind, let me tell you unconditionally that Ginger Dawson and Wendy Jackson exceeded our expectations in every possible way. With this transaction, if I could change one thing, it would have been to hire them 16 months before we did. Please don’t make the same mistake I did and hire them today. You won’t regret it for a second.

If everyone involved was more like the two of you, I would be so happy! Not only is she super knowledgeable on everything, she is the nicest person you will ever get the chance to work with. Even though this is the 5th house my wife and I have bought over the past 10 years there are so many things we forgot about or didn't realize and she was able to think of each little detail so we didn't have to worry about anything. On top of all that, Wendy went out of her way on so many different occasions to check on things, send updates, research schools, restaurants, you name it. My wife and I honestly have never had anyone who has looked after us and made sure we were taken care of in every way possible than Wendy.
